Simeone's Five Goals Pace Women's Lacrosse over Giants

Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University posted a 16-2 victory over Keystone College Monday in non-conference women's lacrosse action. The Pacers scored the first 13 goals of the game.

Zoe Simeone matched a career high with five goals. She was 2 for 2 on free-position shots.

Gina Babcock provided four points on a goal and three assists. Molly Yelencsics and Gwyneth Gleason each finished with a hat trick. Gleason added a game-high seven draw controls.

Sami Stein led the Pacers defensively with six ground balls. Yelencsics and Ashley King each caused three turnovers.

Yelencsics, Simeone, King, and Emma Solomon all had four ground balls.

Mary Leahy made four saves to preserve her third victory of the season.

Marywood outshot the Giants by a 38-11 margin. The Pacers' defense kept the Giants to a 32 percent success rate (8-25) on clears. Marywood had 39 ground balls to Keystone's 23.

Kayla McCabe scored her first career goal.

Keystone's Daphne Leenas made 12 saves. Nisa Cortes and Alex Smith each scored for the Giants.

The Pacers head across town to face University of Scranton Wednesday at 7 pm.
