Scranton, Pa. – Marywood men's tennis opened up their spring season with 9-0 non-conference loss to Keystone College. Marywood falls to 0-2 on the year as Keystone improves to 1-2.
In singles Marywood's
Joseph Weber came up just short against Keystones Alek Greenip. In their first set Weber loss 7-5 and forced a tie breaker in his second set coming up just short, 7-6 (7-4). Marywood's
Jarrod Palmer lost to Sean Lape of Keystone 6-0, 6-2. Both
Rohan Patel and
Joey Burridge lost their sets 6-2, 6-1.
Keystone doubles teams turned out to be a big challenge for the Pacers. Marywood's team of Palmer and Weber were no match for Keystone's Greenip and Lape (8-0). The duo of Burridge and Patel started strong for the Pacers but could not hold on against Colin Franko and Liam McGranaan (8-2).
The Pacers will be back in action on Sunday March 31
st against King's College at Kirby Park.
