Eastern Cruises to Win Over Baseball

St. Davids, Pa. - Eastern University used three four-run innings to hand Marywood University their seventh straight loss Wednesday afternoon in non-conference baseball action.  

The Pacers (4-18) committed nine errors, the most in program history, during the game.

Eastern improved to 8-17 with the win. The Eagles plated six runs over the openining two innings, then added four-run frames in the fourth and seventh to put the game out of reach.  Eastern out-hit Marywood 18-6 in the game.

Jake Schuster and Joseph Bruno were both 2-for-4 in the loss, with Schuster hitting a homer and Bruno a double.  Pasquale Mandarano (1-1) suffered the loss on the mound.

Marywood will look to change their fortunes Saturday when they host Neumann in an Atlantic East Conference doubleheader.  Game one begins at noon and Marywood will honor their seniors in between games.
