Scranton, Pa, - Marywood University Women's Tennis shut out Cabrini in their home opener of the spring. Marywood improves to 1-1 in the Atlantic East Conference and 3-10 overall. Cabrini falls to 0-11 overall (0-1 AEC).

The Pacers' team of
Danielle Ogonowski and
Nicole Sinclair shut-out their opponent in the first set of doubles (8-0).
Lyndsey Medric and
Brooke Panek also had a great match for the Pacers beating Alyssa Madden and Miranda Smith 8-0. In the second set of doubles
Emily Zarrilli and
Devin Zombek won 8-2.

In singles, Ogonowski defeated Sydney Lynch in the first set (6-0, 6-1).
Deena Haroun Mahdavi took it to Lattana Sithara for the Pacers winning both sets 6-1.
Emily Zarrilli had the closest match of the day against Elizabeth Baddoo. Zarrilli came back after dropping her first forcing an extra set to secure the point for Marywood (4-6, 6-1, 11-9).
Emily Edwards won the last set of singles for the Pacers 6-1, 6-2.

th. The match is set to start at 4 pm.
