Pacers Come Up Short to NJCU, 1-0

Montclair, N.J. – Marywood University came up short in a nailbiter, falling 1-0 to New Jersey City University Saturday in non-conference men's soccer action. The Pacers slip to 0-2 after facing the No. 6 team in the country in their season opener.

The Gothic Knights' Koshane Marshall scored the lone goal of the match in the 58th minute. On a throw-in from left side, the ball bounced in the box at 7 yards. Marshall corraled it, spun and fired a right-footer inside left post.

Marywood's lone shot on target came in the 49th minute. Brian Deane sent a shot that was collected by Aldahir Cazun.

Making his first appearance of the year, senior Mike Gallagher made two saves.
