Marywood Slips to King's in Four Sets

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – King's College stormed back to win three straight sets after dropping the first en route to a 3-1 victory over Marywood University Saturday in non-conference women's volleyball. The Pacers fell to the Monarchs for the third straight season.

King's won by scores of 21-25, 25-18 25-19, 27-25. The Monarchs shot .108 for the match to the Pacers' .080.

Sam Compton finished with a double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs. Compton shot .200 for the match.

Peri Sheerin had a team-high 14 kills. She added three aces and a block assist.

The offense was aided by Sara Burgos' 38 assists. She added 10 digs for a double-double.

Defensively, the Pacers received 32 digs from Jordan Vossler. Ashley King blocked four shots.

King's was led by Becca Goldberg's 15 kills. Taylor Mueller had 32 digs, and Wiatt Hoffmann notched 41 assists.

The Pacers (3-6) return home Monday at 7 p.m. against SUNY-Delphi.
