Men's Tennis Shutout by Penn College

Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University men's tennis was downed by Penn College Saturday afternoon, 9-0. The Wildcats improve to 1-2 as the Pacers fall to 0-1.

Marywood's Jarrod Palmer faced off against Jesse Kight in the second set of singles. Palmer lost 6-1 in the first set and 6-3 in the second. The Wildcats' Zack Burkhart got the best of Joey Burridge, beating him 6-0, 6-2. In the first set of singles Brendan O'Rourke lost 6-0 in both sets for the Pacers to Tucker Phillippe-Joh.

In doubles, O'Rourke and Palmer gave Tommy Gavangh and Daniel Gianelle a challenge. The Wildcats duo was able to overcome O'Rourke and Palmer 9-7.

The Pacers will be back on the court on Wednesday September 25th at 4:00 pm as they host Lycoming College.
