Women's Golf Downed by Scranton in Fall Opener

Tunkhannock, Pa. - The University of Scranton topped Marywood University women's golf by twelve strokes at Stonehedge Golf Course in the fall opener for the Pacers. The Royals improve to 2-0 on the year while Marywood sits at 0-1.

Scranton's Emma Nemitz was medalist with a low round of 87 on the day.  Teammate Molly Lennon finished second with a 92.  Marywood's Mariah Casey had a third place finish after shooting a 94.  Three players tied with a 96 - Scranton's Brianna Stein and Marywood's Tessa Briselden and Leslie Major.  Brianna Baker rounded out the scoring on the day for the Pacers with a 98.  Kate Pagano shot a 97 for the Royals.

Marywood will be back in action October 6 as they take on Misericordia University at Irem Country Club in Dallas.
