Men's Soccer Prevails over Knights in Double OT

Scranton, Pa. - Zac Lloyd scored game-winning goal in the 105th minute to give Marywood University a 4-3 double overtime victory over Berkeley College (N.J.) Wednesday in non-conference men's soccer action. The Pacers (3-6) won their third in four games on this homestand.

Lloyd beat an offsides trap on a setpiece. His initial shot was thwarted by the Knights' keeper. Lloyd corralled the rebound in front on him and fished a shot into the net from 20 yards away.

The Pacers came back after allowed two consecutive goals to let Berkeley force overtime.

Carlos Perez scored twice to lead the Pacers. Richard Fuchs tallied his first goal of the season.

After Jordan Bailey evened the score for the Knights in the ninth minute, Fuchs put the Pacers ahead 2-1 in the 30th minute. Fuchs received a pass in the middle of the box. He stopped his motion and faked out a defender from 12 yards away.

Perez added to the lead with a goal in the 50th minute. He redirected a cross to the top-right corner from 15 yards out for a 3-1 advantage.
