Vossler Named to All-Tournament Team; Pacers Winless at Etown

Elizabethtown, Pa. - Facing opponents with a combined 79.2 winning percentage, Marywood University dropped all three matches at Elizabethown College this weekend. The Pacers lost in three sets to Baldwin College and Eastern, and fell in four to the host Blue Jays. 

Senior libero Jordan Vossler was selected to the All-Tournament Team for the second time this season.

Marywood (8-10) slips below. 500, and they will head to Lycoming College next weekend for a tournament. 

Elizabethtown 3, Marywood 1

The Pacers won the first set in extra points but were eventually beset by the Blue Jays in four sets. Elizabethtown won 27-29, 25-22, 25-12, 25-13. 

Vossler produced the second-highest digs total for a four set match in school history with 35. Sam Compton contributed 10 digs. 

Peri Sheerin generated 15 kills for the offense and a team-high .136 attack percentage. Sara Burgos had 30 assists. 

In the Pacers' lone winning set, Elizabethtown led 23-20 before a pair of Sheerin kills and an Ashley King ace squared the score at 23. The Pacers and Blue Jays went back and forth until Compton scored a kill via an Etown blocking error to go ahead 28-27. Compton's serve set the stage for an Etown attack error to give the Pacers a 1-0 lead. 

Eastern 3, Marywood 0

Marywood fell to the 2018 NCAA Tournament Qualifiers by scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-14. 

Vossler totaled 17 digs, and Compton again registered 10 digs and three aces.

King had a team-best seven kills and .357 attack percentage with two block assists. Burgos chipped in with 16 assists. 

Baldwin Wallace 3, Marywood 0

Facing a team that receives votes in the national coaches polls for the second time this season, the Pacers lost to Baldwin Wallace by scores of 25-27, 25-17, 25-19. 

Sheerin was the top offensive producer with six kills and two block assists. Mikayla Attwood had four total blocks with one solo and three assists.

Vosser finished with 21 digs, and Donna Bostjancic tabbed seven digs. Emily Haberman set 15 assists.
