Pacers Trounce Cedar Crest for Trott's First Win

Allentown, Pa. - Marywood University built a 5-0 lead by halftime and cruised to a 9-3 non-conference win over Cedar Crest to give Head Coach Julie Trott her first collegiate coaching victory. The win also snaps a two-game slide for the Pacers to start the season as they improve to 1-2.

A fourth-minute tally from Jenna Dickey gave the Pacers an early lead, but Marywood exploded for four second-quarter goals, all of which were scored in a 5:13 span, to build a comfortable lead.  Lindsey Gladden (23:23) and Heather Forbes (24:00) had back-to-back goals within 37-seconds of each other off helpers from Dickey and Jaida Marks, respectively.

Marks (26:39) then scored unassisted to make it 4-0, and Angela Sanchez, on another assist from Gladden, made it 5-0 at the 28:36 mark.

Cedar Crest got on the board first in the second half, but Marywood answered with back-to-back goals from Gladden (Marks) and Marks (unassisted) to reclaim a six-goal lead.  The Falcons scored with 2:36 to go in the 3rd to get back to within five.

Marywood would again score twice in the final quarter.  Kenzie Drew (47:32) and Lindsey Quinn (55:32) both scored unassisted.

Marywood out-shot Cedar Crest 19-8 (14-5 on goal) while each team had eight penalty corners.  Kerrie Montz made one save for her first win of the year.
