Women's Lacrosse Stymies Roadrunners in 18-5 Triumph

Mahwah, N.J. – Marywood University remained undefeated through three women's lacrosse games with an 18-5 victory over Ramapo College on Saturday to start a three-game Spring Break trip. The Pacers opened with the first six goals and led 13-1 through the start of the second half.

Gwyneth Gleason led the Pacers with an all-around effort of six goals and an assist for seven points. She added eight draw controls and scored on all four free-position shots.

Molly Yelencsics tallied four points on three goals and an assist. Defensively, she caused five turnovers and picked up five ground balls. Yelencsics added four draw controls.

Both Ashley King and Zoe Simeone finished with two goals and an assist. King scored twice with an assist, and Simeone provided a goal and a pair of assists.

Emma Solomon doubled her career total with two goals.

On the defensive end, Alaina Brenneman had two caused turnovers. Melanie Wittick forced three giveaways.

Emily Dymninski picked up the third win of her career with six stops.

The Roadrunners (2-2) were carried by Taylor Peracchio's two goals and an assist.

Marywood outshot Ramapo by a 34-13 margin. Both teams had 13 ground balls. Marywood won the draw control game with a 17-7 advantage.

Kayla McCabe put the Pacers ahead at 26:20 with her first goal of the season.

The Pacers head to the Sunshine State to take on Washington & Jefferson College and Swarthmore College in Clearwater, Fla.
