Scranton, Pa. — The Marywood University esports team downed Eastern University 3-0 in a difficult but rewarding Overwatch series. David Vito took to the DPS position, with Tanner Fenstermacherr and Cameron Gordan on support.
The Pacers saw a rough first round on the Busan. Upon recomposing themselves and switching compositions, they were ultimately able to win the control maps 2-1.
On Hollywood, with the rally from the previous map, they were capable of gaining and keeping the momentum rolling to a 3-1 victory on the hybrid map.
Shortly after, the Pacers followed up with a 3-2 on Rialto. With the team having seen previous difficulties on the escort map during the pre-season, the heated final round gave the Pacers the push needed to finish out the series. S
Marywood Overwatch moves to 2-0 overall with a +6 map differential. The esports team will look to face Queens University (Ont.) Tuesday in Rocket League.
