Scranton Overpowers Swimming

Meet Results

Scranton, Pa. - The University of Scranton defeated Marywood University's men's and women's swimming programs Saturday afternoon. The Royals' men beat Marywood 161-87 while Scranton's women won handily, 230-51.

Marywood's Dylan Hervieux won the 100 yard backstroke in 58.70 and the 200 backstroke in 2:09.60. Joey Slish took the 200 yard butterfly in 2:21.26. Jason Lee picked up a win int he 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:33.54.

On the women's side, Sabrina Zieger finished second in the 100 back (1:07.76) and 200 back (2:24.40). In the 200, Zieger was edged by Scrnaton's Claudia O'Reilly, who won in 2:24.14. Maggie Davis finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:09.59).

Marywood hosts Wilkes next Saturday, October 30, at 1:00 pm.
