Volleyball Swept in Marymount Tri-Match

Arlington, Va. — Marywood University dropped a pair of matches to Virginia colleges Saturday at the Marymount University Tri-Match. The Pacers fell to the host Saints and University of Mary Washington in three sets. 

Marymount 3, Marywood 0

Marywood fell to reigning Atlantic East champions and NCAA quarterfinalist Marymount University by scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-18. The Pacers had a .092 attack percentage for the match to the Saints' .248 mark. 

Shannon Corr and Amanda Perri each finished with six kills. Donna Bostjancic provided 12 digs, and Annie Heyen neared a double-double with 11 digs and nine assists. 

Marymount (13-9, 5-0 Atlantic East) was led by Kaitlyn Doyle's eight kills and Alexis Franklin's 16 assists. 

Mary Washington. 3, Marywood 0

Mary Washington defeated the Pacers by scores of 25-7, 25-19, 25-17. The Eagles doubled the Pacers in total kills. 

Corr again led the Pacers with six kills and two block assists. Heyen garnered 13 assists, and Bostjancic made eight digs. 

Marywood hosts Neumann University Wednesday on Senior Day. The matchup will decided the third and fourth seeds in the Atlantic East playoffs.
