Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University was able to overcome Clark University (Crimson) in a 2-1 victory in Overwatch on Monday. After the Pacers came out strong on Nepal with a 2-1 win, the Crimsons came roaring back behind a strong defense on Numbani, a map that has proven difficult for the Pacers all season.
The Pacers had their backs against the wall going into Game 3. With a sub in and rally from
Steven Espana-Arias, the team found its rhythm again on the Watchpoint map, one of its most advantageous maps of the season. A full push followed by a stout hold, not allowing a single point to be given up thanks to delays from
David Vito's strong Wrecking Ball defense sealed the deal.
The Pacers move to 4-1 on the Overwatch season with their eyes set on this Thursday's Week 6 matchup and a deep playoff run.
Starting Lineup for the match:
David Vito,
Valerio Amato, Nico Mendez,
Cameron Gorman,
Tanner Fenstermacher,
Steven Espana-Arias,
