Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University was unable to come on top despite outshooting its opponent in its Atlantic East Conference men's soccer opener. Immaculata University defeated Marywood 1-0 on Wednesday.

Dylan Walter scored the game-winning goal on a set piece in the 63rd minute. Damian Szumigraj delivered a ball into the box that found Walter's head. Walter headed the ball into the corner of the net from 15 yards out.
