Women's Swimming Splits, Men's Falls to Marymount

Allentown, Pa. - Marywood University women's swimming split a tri-meet with a win over Cedar Crest and loss to Marymount University while the men's side fell to Marymount by a slim margin.

The Pacers topped Cedar Crest 151-82 but were edged by the Saints, 124-115. For the men, the Pacers fell to 121-105 to Marymount.

Joey Slish earned a win in the 1000 free (12:12.06) while teammate Daniel Shannon finished second in the event (12:57.97). Jason Lee was victorious in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.06) while Gordon Cameron won the 100 free in 52.61, edging Marymount's Jaiden Lugo (52.80).

Lee found himself on top again in the 200 breast (2:42.03), defeating teammate Nathan Grosvenor who finished second in 2:51.47. Dylan Hervieux won the 200 IM for the Pacers in 2:10.90.

To close the men's meet, the Pacers' 200 freestyle relay squad of Gorman, Hervieux, Slish and Lee won in 1:39.52, edging Marymount by less than two seconds.

In women's action, Sabrina Zieger won the 200 free in 2:08.86, defeating Marymount's Isabella Ochalik by three seconds. Samantha Peck took the 200 butterfly in 2:27.45 and Zieger took another top spot in the 200 backstroke (2:22.82). Peck picked up another victory in thee 200 breaststroke (2:49.00), just .35 ahead of Marymount's Madison Grubb.

Zieger won for the third time on the afternoon with a 2:25.35 in the 200 IM.

Marywood will host Immaculata University November 13 at 1:00 pm in AEC action.
