Women's Golf Goes 2-1 in Quad-Match

Match Results

Tunkhannock, Pa. - Marywoood University's women's golf team went 2-1 in a quad-match with King's, Wilkes and Scranton on Sunday afternoon at Stone Hedge Golf Club in Tunkhannock.

The Pacers shot a team score of 358 to defeat King's (440) and Wilkes (382) but fell to Scranton who went 3-0 on the day after shooting a 332 as a team.

Abbie Laime led the Pacers with a low round of 80. She was two shots behind medalist Victoria Dowling of Scranton, who won the event after going seven-over-par with a round of 78. 

Marywood's Sara Sterchak shot a 80, while Grace Sabine and Tessa Briselden both shot 94s. Wilkes' Lauren Golden finished third with a 82, while Emma Nemitz of Scranton and Sarah Sorber of Wilkes both shot 84 to tie for fourth.  Scranton's Molly Lennon rounded out the top five after a round of 88. 

Marywood hits the links again Wednesday at the Neumann University Spring Invitational at Rock Manor Golf Club in Wilmington, Delaware.
