Men's Lacrosse Silences Wesley to Stay Unbeaten in Atlantic East

Dover, Del. - Marywood University stayed unbeaten in Atlantic East Conference men's lacrosse with a 16-3 victory over Wesley College on Saturday. The Pacers (3-2, 3-0) stay atop of the conference standings, even with Cabrini University. 

The Pacers scored six unanswered goals and held the Wolverines scoreless for the first 26 minutes of regulation. After Wesley added two straight goals before halftime, Marywood cruised to eight consecutive goals over the first 26 minutes of the second half. 

Zach Vaughan led Marywood scorers with four goals and an assist for five minutes with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Aiden Kilkenny added four goals, and Jeff Johnsen matched his four points with a pair of goals and assists. 

The Pacers' Ben Mustakos posted his second-straight three-point effort with two goals and an assist. Patrick Dingwell and Zach Saneman each scored twice. Faceoff man Zach Bradbury provided two assists, three ground balls and nine faceoff wins. 

On the defensive side, Jared Chichizola caused three turnovers, and Kieran Scanlan picked up three ground balls. 

Connor Reed earned the win with two saves. Dylan Sicca had 18 saves and five ground balls for the Wolverines. 

Kyle Mackall-Lloyd tallied a goal and an assist for Wesley. 

Marywood outshot Wesley 53-17. The Pacers won the ground ball game, 27-17. 

The Pacers welcome defending NCAA Division III national champions Cabrini University on Wednesday at 4:00 pm in a battle of the two Atlantic East undefeateds.
