Women's Soccer Falls to Immaculata 3-2 in Double OT

Scranton, Pa. - Immaculata University's Kelli Dombroski scored on a scramble in front of the net 3:12 into the second overtime period to give the visiting Mighty Macs a thrilling 3-2 win over host Marywood University Monday evening in Scranton.

Marywood (0-1) forced overtime thanks to a Elizabeth Levine tally with 1:21 to play. Levine finished off a Brooke Longstreet pass to knot the game at 2-2 and force the extra time.

After a scoreless first half that saw five shots total and two on goal from each team, Immaculata (2-0-1) opened the scoring 16:58 into the second half. Dombroski found the back of the net off a feed from Kristen Guthier to put the visitors up 1-0.

Nearly 20 minutes later, Victoria Tzitzis scored off a feed from Levine to knot the game at 1-1, but Immaculata grabbed another go-ahead goal just over a minute later when Bridget McDonough scored on an assist from Guthier.

Guthier finished the game with five points on two goals and an assist. Levine had three points for Marywood (one goal, one assist).
