Women's Golf Runner-Up in AEC Championship

Oxford, Pa. - Marywood University shot a team score of 397 to finish in second place and earn runner-up honors at the 2021 Atlantic East Conference women's golf championship Friday.

Playing on the par 72, 5800 yard course at Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, the Pacers were led by Abbie Laime's round of 95. Marymount University had the top four finishers to earn the Conference title as the Saiints fired a team score of 345. Cabrini finished third with a 434. Neumann and Wesley had individuals in the event but did not compete as a team.

Laime's round tied her for fourth overall. Sara Sterchak shot a 97 and finished sixth, while Tessa Briselden's 98 placed her seventh overall. Grace Sabine shot a 107 and finished 10th.

Marymount's Isabela Trojillo earned medalist honors with a low round of 78 (+6). Her teammate Hunter Gillis finished one stroke behind with a 79.
