Marywood Slides to Wolverines, Enters Atlantic East Playoffs as No. 3 Seed

Scranton, Pa. – Marywood University dropped a pair of contests to top-seeded Wesley College to wrap up its softball regular season on Sunday. The Pacers lost 11-1 in five innings and 9-1 in six innings.
 
Marywood secures the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic East Conference softball playoffs. The Pacers will head to the Radnor, Pa. pod to take on No. 2 Cabrini University and No. 5 Gwynedd Mercy University.
 
In the opening game, two of Marywood's three hits came by way of doubles from Annie Heyen and Sierra Mulgrew.
 
Becca Zayle reached twice in the nightcap on a pair of walks. Sam Baltrusaitis went 1 for 3 with a run.
 
Dori Loukopoulos had an all-around effort at the plate and mount. She batted 5 for 6 with eight RBIs and two walks. She started both games with no-decisions, pitching a total of 5 1/3 innings without an earned run to her credit.
 
The first round pods will take place Friday and Saturday at Cabrini University.
