Men's Soccer Opens Season with Loss at Hartwick

Oneonta, N.Y. - Marywood University opened its 2021 men's soccer season with a 6-0 loss to Hartwick College on a rainy Wednesday evening. The Hawks scored three times in the first 20 minutes.

Hartwick outshot the Pacers 13-3 and doubled them 6-3 on target. The Hawks had six corners to the Pacers' two.

Tyler Muir opened the game with an unassisted goal in the fifth minute. Jimmy Noel added to the Hawks' lead six minutes later on a cross from Muir. An own goal off of a cross gave the Hawks a 3-0 lead in the 20th minute. Ansh Budhwar connected on a 35-yard shot in the 40th minute.

Marywood managed two shots on goal from Aram Aghababian and one from Hunter Iverson.

The Pacers are idle until they welcome Keystone College on Saturday, Sept. 11.
