Pacers Suffer First Rocket League Setback to Clark

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University esports fell to Clark University Grey 3-1 Tuesday in NECC Rocket League competition. The Pacers' record evens to 1-1. 

Marywood won the third match in exciting fashion. Tied 1-1, Kyle Jenkins redirected a James Marsh pass off the back wall into the net with 12 seconds remaining in regulation. Marsh made a save with three seconds remaining to ensure the victory. 

In the third match, Marsh finished with a pair of assists and three saves. Jacob Lutsky had a goal and two saves. 

Clark blanked the Pacers 3-0 in the deciding fourth set. All three members of the Marywood team finished with a save.

Marywood will take on Queen's University (Ont.) next in Rocket League competition. The esports team's next matchup is Thursday night versus Eastern University in Overwatch.
