Meek Ties Single-Match Kills Record as Pacers Falls in Thriller

All three Cyclones' wins were by two points

Hackettstown, N.J. — Centenary University outlasted Marywood University in a five-set Atlantic East Conference volleyball match on Wednesday. All three of the Cyclones' set wins were by the bare-minimum two points, and two of them went into extra points.
 
Centenary won by scores of 25-23, 22-25, 18-25, 30-28, 16-14.
 
Mikayla Meek tied a school single-match record with 23 kills. Meek ties Peri Sheerin's 2018 mark in a five-set match against Albright. She also contributed 20 assists.
 
Shannon Corr totaled 11 kills without any errors for a .550 attack percentage. She had a double-double with 13 digs.
 
Donna Bostjancic had a season-high 28 digs and five assists. Sydney Steiner tallied 34 assists.
 
Libby Smith posted a season-best 12 kills. She led the Pacers with four aces.
 
Centenary was led by Mya Burnett's 20 kills. Alyssa Bizzarro had 12 kills and 13 digs.
 
Despite the loss, Marywood had a .206 to .161 advantage in hitting percentage. The Pacers led 64-47 in kills, 59-43 in assists, and 72-55 in digs. Centenary doubled the Pacers in blocks (8-4).
 
Marywood welcomes Marymount and Rutgers-Camden for its final tri-match of the season.
