Field Hockey Taken Down by Cavaliers, 4-1

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University lost to Cabrini University 4-1 Wednesday in Atlantic East Conference field hockey action. The Pacers slip to 4-10 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
 
Cabrini scored three of its goals in the second quarter. After a scoreless first quarter, Daly Ewing knocked in a goal in the 17th minute. Off of her own corner, she deflected a shot into the right corner of the cage. Adrianna Jones deflected a shot over the keeper off of a penalty corner in the 30th minute. Thirty-nine seconds later, Krista Geibler had an unassisted goal, deflecting a shot to the right side off of a scramble.
 
The Cavaliers added a fourth in the 34th minute. Maggie Cella deflected a shot off of the save of a previous attempt.
 
Marywood's lone goal came in the 43rd minute. Lauren Youngken drilled in a shot crossed by Milana Straub from the right perimeter.
 
Rachel Yohn made 17 saves in the cage. Klaira Bievenour and Corrin Hasty each had a defensive save.
 
Marywood closed its Atlantic East schedule on Saturday at Manhattanville College.
