Swimming Taken Down by Royals

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University fell to crosstown University of Scranton Saturday in men's and women's swimming and diving. It was Marywood's home opener.

The Pacers' women fell to the Royals 245-33. Scranton dropped the Marywood men 196-33.

Sabrina Zieger touched in third place in the 1,000 free in 12:25.99. She also came in third in the 500 free with a time of 5:57.64. Zieger placed fourth in the 200 IM.

Samantha Peck finished in third place in the 200 free in a time of 2:12.42.

On the men's side, Dylan Hervieux had the Pacers' top performance of the day with a second place finish. He swam a 59.64-second mark in the 100 back. Hervieux was also second in the 200 back in 2:12.61.

Jason Lee came in second in the 100 breast in 1:08-flat. He was third in the 200 breast in 2:34.03.

Marywood will take on Wilkes University on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Wyoming Valley CYC in Wilkes-Barre.
