Pacers Wrap Up Regular Season at Susquehanna, Enter Playoffs as No. 3 Seed

Corrin Hasty scores a goal and notches a defensive save

Selinsgrove, Pa. - Marywood University lost to Susquehanna University 4-1 Wednesday in its regular season field hockey finale. As the rest of the Atlantic East finished their conference competition, the Pacers punched the No. 3 seed in the postseason.

Marywood will take on sixth-seeded Manhattanville College on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Corrin Hasty finished with a goal and a defensive save.

Susquehanna, the second seed in the Landmark Conference, scored first just as the opening quarter whistle rang. Kaylee Mendez found the cage on an Ashley Schreffler assist.

The Pacers evened the score in the 23rd minute. After her initial shot was saved, Hasty put a ball past the keeper for her second of the season.

The 1-1 tie was short-lived as Kari Schmidt scored on an Ashley Schreffler assist in the 25th minute.

Susquehanna added two goals in the second half. Alli Kiley had her first of the season in the 38th minute, and Schreffler scored in the 59th off a Schmidt pass.

Rachel Yohn had seven saves for the Pacers.

Susquehanna (14-5) doubled Marywood 20-10 in shots. The River Hawks had an 8-5 advantage in penalty corners.
