Esports Kicks Off Season in Opening Week

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University began its esports season in NECC competition. The Pacers split their first week with a win over New Jersey City University and a loss to Waynesburg University. Marywood opened its League of Legends season with a loss to Trent (Ont.)

The Pacers had a reverse sweep to defeat the Gothic Knights by a 3-2 score. Waynesburg swept the Pacers in three games.

Marywood's first League of Legends match since Fall 2021 came in a 2-0 loss to Trent University.
