Pacers Fall in Road Tilt at Neumann

Aston, Pa. - Neumann University controlled much of the action after the opening first seven minutes of play en route to a 76-63 win over Marywood University Wednesday evening in Atlantic East men's basketball action. The Knights remained in the hunt for the top seed in post-season play, improving to 15-6 overall and 7-1 in league play.

Neumann used a 12-1 run over a 4:31 span in the opening minutes to take control and never looked back. Marywood fell to 7-13 (2-6 AEC) with their fourth straight setback.

Corey Perkins and Mason Mendygral led Marywood with 14 points each. Jason Holman added 11. Perkins led Marywood and tied for a game-high with eight rebounds.

Neumann's KJ Speller led all scorers with a game-high 23 points. Jalen Vaughns added 18, while two other Knights reached double-digits in the victory.

Marywood shot 39.6% from the field for the game while the Knights hit nearly 50% of their shots, going 31-of-63 (49.2%) from the floor for the night. Neumann forced 20 Marywood turnovers while only committing nine of their own and dominated the Pacers in the paint, outscoring them 48-16 in that category. 

Marywood will host Centenary University Saturday at 3:00 pm.
