Reed Reaches 500 Save Club in Atlantic East Loss

Arlington, Va. — Marywood University had its four-game winning streak come to a halt in a 14-10 loss to Marymount University on Saturday in the Atlantic East Conference men's lacrosse opener.

Connor Reed became just the second Marywood goalkeeper to reach the 500 Saves Club. Reed made 15 stops to reach 501 for his career total. He had two ground balls. 

John Scibello led the Pacers' offense with three goals and an assist. Dillon Kane and Ben Mustakos added two goals and an assist. 

Nick Ericson won seven ground balls from the faceoff-x. 

Marymount scored the opening four goals of the game in the first 4:29. The Pacers responded with three unanswered goals from Cam Hallett, Mustakos and Matt Manna. Dillon Kane added a goal with 1:11 left of the first before the Saints went on a three-goal run. 

Despite the score, the Saints outshot the Pacers by a 46-44 margin. Marymount had a 37-27 advantage in ground balls. 

Marywood will travel to Immaculata University on Wednesday.
