Pacers Rip Defenders Behind Evancho's, Burns' Attack

Marywood committed just seven errors

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University earned an emphatic three-set win over Clarks Summit University on Thursday evening. The Pacers evened their record to 6-6 on the volleyball season.
 
Summer Evancho totaled seven kills in a career night. She finished with a .385 attack percentage.
 
Bethany Burns provided the Pacers with six kills and a .462 hitting percent.
 
Defensively, Sydney Steiner tallied 14 kills and four aces. Mikayla Meek had 31 assists, four aces and seven digs.
 
For the Defenders, Melanie Stabler had nine digs. Kate McKee finished with five kills.
 
Marywood won by scores of 25-5, 25-13, 25-15.
 
The Pacers finished with an attack percentage of .389, committing just seven errors on 72 attempts.
 
Marywood hosts its first tri-match of the year on Saturday. The Pacers will take on Misericordia University at 11 a.m. and Moravian University at approximately 3 p.m.
