Marywood Roasts Central Penn in 108-Point Offensive Output

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University showcased its offense in a 108-72 victory over Central Penn College Wednesday in non-conference men's basketball. It was the Pacers' highest offensive in eight seasons, and it tied for the second-most single-game points in school history. 

The Pacers tied games between Bard College (1996) and Eastern College (1998) for the No. 2 slot. 

Jason Holman and Brendan Franko each led the Pacers with 19 points. Holman had eight rebounds and five assists. Franko, the Atlantic East's most consistent shooter, went 9 for 14 from the field. Seventeen of Franko's points came in the second half. 

Caleb Vigil connected on 6 for 7 from beyond the arc. He scored 18 points in just 12 minutes off of the bench. 

Mason Mendygral also reached double figures with 17 points. Marywood received eight points, seven assists and seven rebounds from Trevor Seitz.

Marywood finished with 30 assists. The Pacers came into Wednesday's game leading NCAA Division III with 21.9 assists per game. 

Kobe Gantz had 19 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals for Central Penn. Q. Allen totaled 18 points and eight rebounds. 

The Pacers shot 52.5 percent from the field. Marywood went 18 of 44 from beyond the arc, hitting a 40.9 percent mark from long range. 

Marywood (8-9) heads to Marymount University on Saturday.
