Men's Basketball Defeated by Cyclones, 86-71

Hackettstown, N.J. — Marywood University was defeated by Centenary University 86-71 on Saturday in Atlantic East Conference men's basketball action. The Pacers fall to 8-11 overall and 1-5 in conference play. 

Cole Johnson and Brendan Franko each finished with a team-high 12 points. Jason Holman totaled 10 points. 

Trevor Seitz was a point shy of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds. 

Marywood struggled from the field, shooting 37.9 percent. The Pacers were 9 of 37 from beyond the arc for just less than a quarter percentage. Marywood went 12 of 14 from the charity stripe for a 85.7 percent figure. 

The Pacers edged the Cyclones 40-38 in rebounds. 

Centenary had four players in double figures. Harrison Lucibello had a game-high 19 points. Billy Veras and Trevor Giordano had 17 and 13 points, respectively. Issac Poueriet secured a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds. 

The Cyclones made 51.5 percent of its attempts. They had a 25-10 advantage in points off turnovers despite a slim 22-18 turnover advantage in the Pacers' favor. 

Marywood led 55-49 with 14:16 remaining in the second half. Centenary scored 14 unanswered points. Holman was the lone Pacer with a field goal over a 12-minute span. 

The Pacers will welcome Immaculata University on Monday night in a rescheduled game.
