Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Marywood Silenced by FDU-Florham, 3-0

Scranton, Pa. – The Marywood men's soccer team fell to the Fairleigh Dickinson University Florham Devils 3-0 Wednesday in non-conference men's soccer. Marywood falls to 5-6 on the season. FDU-Florham improves to 7-1-2 with the victory. 

The Devils opened the scoring in the 30th minute, when Drilon Toska netted a pass cross from Irfan Kernalli to give FDU-Florham the early advantage. 

In the 68th minute, the Devils added to their lead, thanks to a goal from Jason Balbuena. Kermalli was credited with another assist on the play, leading Balbuena with a pass to cap off the fast break. 

FDU-Florham netted their third and final goal in the 87th minute. The tally came off the boot of Toska on a fast break, his second goal of the match. 

The Devils led the Pacers in shots 14-8, shots on goal 9-2, and corner kicks 5-4. 

Alex Russo recorded six saves on the day for the Pacers, while FDU-Florham keeper Anthony Petrucci recorded two. 

The Pacers travel to Neumann University for their next match on Saturday.
