Men's Soccer Edged by Neumann in AEC Opener

Aston, Pa. — Marywood University's men's soccer teamv fell to the Neumann Knights Saturday in the conference opener for the Pacers.

The Pacers (5-7-0, 0-1 AEC) were silenced by the Knights (4-4-1, 2-0 AEC) for the majority of the game. 

Neumann's lone goal came in the 75th minute when Eddie Proud crossed to Gianni Smith who headed the ball to secure the win. 

The Pacers had a total of four shots, none of which were on target but one that did hit the crossbar. The Knights had 16 shots, three of which were on target. 

Alex Russo recorded two saves on the day in goal for Marywood.

The Pacers will look to rebound against conference opponent Centenary, Wednesday in Hackettstown, N.J.
