Pacers Conquer Manhattanville in 10-0 Victory

Slusser has first collegiate hat trick

Scranton, Pa. — The Marywood University field hockey team came out in dominate fashion against conference opponent Manhattanville College to post a 10-0 win. The Pacers now hold a 9-3 (1-0 AEC) record. 

Cassie Slusser had her first career hat trick, scoring in the 13th, 28th, and 60th minutes. Cydney Lahr and Brie Sumner each recorded two goals of their own. 

Lauren Youngken had a career-high four assists today. 

Dariane Jones, Ava Howells, and Felicia Pescatore each had a goal. 

The Pacers posted season highs in goals (10), assists (8), shots (47), shots on goal (38), and penalty corners (19). 

Leah Ewing recorded two saves on the day, while Manhattanville's three goalies combined for 27. 

Marywood will look to continue its winning streak when it travels to Cabrini University on Tuesday.
