Pacers Come Short in High-Scoring Affair with Rams

Brendan Franko, Trevor Seitz each lead with 16 points

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University and Farmingdale State combined for 200 total points in the opening game of the Electric City Men's Basketball Invitational. The Pacers fell to the Rams by a score of 115-95 at the John Long Center. 

Marywood (1-1) will take on Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham in the consolation final on Saturday at 2 p.m. 

Brenda Fanko and Trevor Seitz each led the Pacers with 16 points. Cole Johnson reached double figures with 12 points, and Declan McCarthy came off the bench to score 11 points in as many minutes. 

Mason Mendygral had six assists on the night. 

Both teams were electric from the field. The Rams connected on two-thirds of their attempts, and Marywood shot 55.6 percent from the field. Both teams made exactly half of their shots from beyond the arc. Marywood hit 18 attempts from long range. 

Farmingdale State had six players in double figures. Corey Powell and Aaron Davis each totaled 17 points. Nick Hurowitz (16), Michael Notias (14), Macai John (13) and Jevon Santos (13) contributed for the Rams. 

Farmingdale State outrebounded Marywood by a 35-24 margin.
