Swimming Edges Mighty Macs for AEC Sweep

Secane, Pa. — Marywood University earned a pair of hard-fought Atlantic East Conference swimming and diving victories against Immaculata University on Saturday. The Pacers defeated the Mighty Macs 109-93 on the women's side, and they had a 122-112 win on the men's side.

Molly Englehardt delivered a women's 1,000-yard free win, touching the wall in 11:58.37. She also had a win in the 500 free in 6:02.98.

Samantha Peck had three individual victories. She won the 200 free (2:12.74), 200 butterfly (2:33.23), and 400 IM (5:35.99).

Aubrey Mangan notched wins in the 100 breast, 50 free and 200 breast. After winning the 100 breast in 1:18.19, Mangan beat out the Macs' Colleen Blakelock by three-hundredths of a second with a 28.48-second finish. She clocked in at 2:54.98 for a 200 breast win.

Emmersen Gellert was first in the 100 free in 1:00.43. She won the 100 butterfly with a mark of 1:08.24.

The women's 400 medley relay clocked in at 4:37.88.

On the men's side, Nathan Grosvenor was a two-time winner, taking the 1,000 free (12:04.06) and 200 back (2:34.34).

Dylan Hervieux earned a win in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.7. the 200 breast in 2:26.85 and the 400 IM in 4:37.05. Quinn Grosvenor tallied wins in the 200 butterfly (2:14.95) and 100 butterfly (57.53).

Johnny Wargins had a first-place finish in 24.74 seconds.

Marywood competes at Franklin & Marshall College next weekend.
