Pacers Stump Mighty Oaks with Record-Tying 20 Threes

Marywood breaks record with 43 3-point attempts

Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University won the Electric City Classic with a 107-75 victory over the State University of New York Environmental Sciences and Forestry Saturday in men's basketball. Central Pennsylvania College defeated Manor College in the consolation game. 

Marywood (4-2) tied a school record with 20 made 3-pointers. The Pacers broke the mark for most attempts from beyond the arc with 43 shots. Both times the Pacers reached 20 3-pointers were against SUNY ESF. 

Trevor Seitz scored 21 points, all but four of which were scored in the first half. He made 8 of 10 attempts from the field.

Seitz led five players in double digits. Jack Locker scored a career-high 14 points. Andrew Quinn and Robert Van Brunt each finished with 12 points. Mason Mendygral had 10 points and six assists. 

Corey Perkins totaled seven rebounds and seven assists. Zach Hoffman tallied six assists in 12 minutes. 

Defensively, Cole Johnson forced three steals. 

Marywood shot 54.8 percent from the field. The Pacers hit 46.5 percent in long-ranged shots. 

The Pacers had 31 assists to the Mighty Oaks' 13. Marywood out-rebounded the Stumpies by a 50-28 favor. 

Marywood heads south to take on Wilkes University on Tuesday night in the Marts Center.
