Page Wins Shot Put at Opening Indoor Meet

Nolan Kozera runs second-fastest 60 dash in debut

Lancaster, Pa. - Junior Rosalyn Page won the women's shot put in Marywood University indoor track and field season opener this weekend at Franklin & Marshall College. The men's track and field program ranked four student-athletes in the team record books.

Page claimed first place in the shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 9 1/2 inches (12.43m). Page was the top finisher out of 33 participants. Through the first weekend, she ranks first in the Mid-Atlantic Region and 38th in NCAA Division III.

In his first collegiate meet, Nolan Kozera ran the second-fastest 60 dash time in school history. Kozera finished in seventh place in 7.2 seconds.

Noah Zeigler produced the second-longest triple jump at Marywood. Zeigler measured at 39 feet, 1 inch (11.91m) for ninth place. Freshman Tucker Indikovic was 13th place in his Marywood debut, earning the fifth-farthest triple jump at 37 feet, 8 1/2 inches (11.49m).

In the long jump, freshman Jeffrey Santos hit a mark of 19 feet, 1 1/4 inches (5.82m) for 13th place. He recorded the fifth-best long jump in the school record books.

Abby Megotz finished in ninth place in the 400 run in her collegiate debut. Megotz finished with a time of 1:07.18.

Caitlin Mills placed 14th in the 60 dash in 8.64 seconds. She was 11th in the long jump, measuring at 14 feet, 5 3/4 inches (4.41m).

The Marywood men's 4x400 relay of Santos, Zeigler, Kozera and CJ Shygelski came in eighth place in 3:44.65.

Tyler Hoysan came in sixth place in the 60 hurdles at 9.19 seconds. George Thompson was eighth place in 9.63 seconds.

Marywood is idle until January 13, 2024 when it travels to The College of New Jersey.
