Francis, Straub Named to AEC Weekly Honor Roll

Lancaster, Pa. — The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's and Women's Track and Field weekly award winners on Tuesday. Marywood University's Raidan Francis and Lany Straub were named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

Francis ran the quickest Atlantic East time in both the 800 and 1,500 at Widener's Danny Curran Invite. Francis had the third-fastest 800 time in school history with a 1:58.44 for 26th place overall. He came in 36th overall with a 4:12.94 in the 1,500. His 4x400 relay with Robert Russo, Joseph Burke and Brody Graff also registered atop the Atlantic East performance list in 3:35.81.

Straub broke a Marywood school record in the 1,500 at Widener's Danny Curran Invitational. She ran a 4:51.15 to snap a seven-year old record en route to a 13th place finish. Straub also recorded the fifth-fastest 800 time at Marywood. She came in 2:29.35 for 32nd place overall, breaking her PR by nine seconds. Both times lead the Atlantic East this season.

The Pacers will travel to Misericordia Friday.
