Pacers Bring Down Penn College on the Road

Kendricks records her second straight double-double

Williamsport, Pa. - Marywood University came out victorious with a 61-51 decision over Penn College on Saturday in non-conference women's basketball. The Pacers improved their record to 4-7 on the season.

Marywood jumped out to an early lead with a scorching hot start, leading 26-11 after the first quarter. They would take a 35-16 lead into halftime as well. 

The Pacers were able to hold on to the lead despite being out-scored in the second half. 

Faith Kendricks dominated for the Pacers today, recording her second straight double-double. Kendricks scored 20 total points on 7-15 (46.7%) shooting, along with 6-13 (46.2%) from behind the arc. Kendricks paired this scoring with a game-leading 12 rebounds. 

Colby White and Rachel McDonald also contributed double-digit efforts with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Marywood out-rebounded Penn College 33-31. 

As a team, the Pacers were 19-57 (33.3%) from the field. This included going 11-38 (28.9%) from three and 12-17 (70.6%) from the charity stripe. 

Rachel McDonald and Mia Blume recorded five assists apiece for Marywood. 

On the other side of the court, Penn College shot 17-50 (34.0%) in total. Rachel Teats led the Wildcats with 21 points, shooting 10-16 (62.5%). 

The Pacers look to build off of this victory against Saint Elizabeth University at home on Saturday.
