Women's Basketball Drops to Gwynedd Mercy

Ciullo records season high

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University was defeated by Gwynedd Mercy 90-71 on Wednesday night in Atlantic East Conference women's basketball action. Sophomore Olivia Ciullo recorded a game high with 28 points.

Savannah Purdy and Rachel McDonald also recorded double digit points with 14 and 11 respectively. In addition to her game high, Ciullo finished with a double-double recording 28 points and 10 rebounds. 

Gwynedd Mercy's Haley Crossley recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the victory.

The Pacers were down three points going into half time, but were outscored by the Griffins with a 23-8 margin in the third quarter.

The squad looks to end their losing streak as they host Marymount for a Saturday afternoon matchup.
