Marywood Wraps Up Spring Break with Losses to Kenyon, CMSV

Ft. Pierce, Fla. — Marywood University baseball suffered losses to College of Mount Saint Vincent and Kenyon College to wrap up its Spring Break on Friday. The Pacers lost 14-3 to the Dolphins in the opener and 15-2 to the Owls in the nightcap. 

Mount Saint Vincent came back from a two-run deficit in the first inning by scoring 14 straight runs. 

Marywood chased the CMSV starting pitcher without recording an out. Adam Ginsberg was hit by a pitch and stole second. Joey Yannelli reached on a fielding error. He stole second base, and Ginsberg scored on the throw. Max Slusser drove in the next run with a single up the middle. 

The Dolphins' Sean Kennedy came in for relief and threw seven innings of four-hit ball. He struck out 10 batters. 

Slusser finished 2 for 4 with an RBI. Jordan Carty reached three times with a pair of walks. 

Kenyon scored 15 unanswered runs in the game. Marywood had its lone production in the ninth inning when Ginsberg doubled in both runs. 

Ginsberg finished 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Chris Thomas reached three times with a pair of walks and a stolen base. 

Danny Cossa did not allow an earned run in 1 2/3 innings. Michael Aronica struck out five in 3 1/3 innings.
