Marywood Dug In By Aggies Bats, 20-7

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University was undone by Delaware Valley University's offense in a 20-7 loss Wednesday in non-conference baseball action. The Pacers fall to 7-6 overall on the season. 

Vinny D'Auria and Max Slusser each had three hit performances. D'Auria tripled, stole a base, and scored three runs. Slusser hit the Pacers' first home run of the season. He finished with two RBIs. 

AJ Giannetti drove in a pair of RBIs. Collin Becker reached base in both at-bats.

Gerard O'Hare took the loss with four earned runs with five strikeouts. Aaron Gutierrez and Tyler Quick each threw a perfect inning of relief. Quick struck out the side in the eighth 

DelVal had four batters (Hank Bielen, Kenny Tunison, Andrew Panfile, Andrew Schneider) with three hits. All three of Tunison's hits were doubles. 

The Aggies scored four runs in the first inning. The first five batters reached in the bottom of the first. Tunison doubled in a pair of runs to take a 4-0 lead. Marywood cut the lead to 4-2 in the fourth. Giannetti hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Christian Michak. AJ Kuzior hit a single to right field that scored D'Auria. The Aggies responded with four runs in the fourth. 

Marywood will open Atlantic East Conference play Friday at Centenary University.
