Scibello Leads Pacers Past the Mighty Macs

Immaculata, Pa. — John Scibello led the Pacers to a 7-6 victory over Immaculata University on Wednesday. The Pacers improve to 2-3 in Atlantic East Conference play.

Scibello finished with three goals and one assist, while Dillon Kane tallied two goals.

The first quarter was back and forth between the squads before Immaculata's Joseph Biuso found the back of the net with just two minutes left. 

Kane contributed his first of the night with just five minutes left in the first half, after another back and forth quarter. The Pacers outshot the Mighty Macs in the first half by a 26-17 margin. 

Bailey Manion opened up the second half with back-to-back unassisted goals to put the Mighty Macs ahead. Aiden Kilkenny scored on a Scibello assist to cut the lead to one goal.

Both teams found their spark in the final quarter of regulation, as the Pacers outscored the Mighty Macs by a 5-3 margin. Manion opened up the scoring of the final quarter of regulation. Scibello responded with his first of the night to cut the deficit. Dalton Metzger tallied a goal off an assist from Nick Ericson to notch the game at four. Connor Teears tallied his first to give the Mighty Macs their final lead of the game. Kane scored unassisted to tie the game at five a piece. Scibello scored back-to-back to give the Pacers a two goal lead. Teears tacked on the final goal of regulation.

Kilkenny and Metzger each finished with one goal, while Matt Manna tallied two assists.

Ericson won 12 faceoffs and tallied one assist. Colin Trainor made 14 saves.

The Pacers will host Neumann University Saturday to celebrate the class of 2023.
