Ambler, Pa. — Marywood University split an Atlantic East Conference softball series for the fourth time this season Wednesday. The Pacers lost to Gwynedd Mercy 6-0 before a 9-1 win in five innings at Temple University's Ambler campus.
Marywood (17-9, 6-4) drops in the Atlantic East standings with two games played then the rest of the conference. Five teams each have four Atlantic East losses.

Sam Ferrara picked up her first collegiate victory by shutting down the Griffins. She allowed just two hits and no earned runs in a complete game.
Sam Baltrusaitis' hot bat continued with a 2 for 3 performance with two runs and three RBIs. For the second straight day, Baltrusaitis was one hit away from a cycle. She hit a home run and a double.
Ashdon Clark hit two doubles, and she scored two runs and an RBI.
Emily Rose hit a pair of base hits. Tori Para drove in two RBIs with a double. Abbey Stalter batted 2 for 3 with two stolen bases and a run.
Six of Marywood's 11 hits were for extra bases
Clark and Para hit back-to-back doubles to take a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Marywood scored four in the third inning to take a 5-0 lead. Stalter led off with a single to shortstop and stole second base. Mara Hamm hit an opposite field single to score Stalter. Emily Rose beat out a bunt down the first base line. Tori Para hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Hamm. Baltrusaitis hit a two-run home run to clear the bases.
Game 1: Gwynedd Mercy 6, Marywood 0
Stalter and Para each went 2 for 3.
Mara Hamm allowed three earned runs with four strikeouts.
Marywood hosts Wilkes University on Thursday.
