Women's Tennis Sunk by Owls in Season Opener

Scranton, Pa. -- Marywood University was set back to Bryn Mawr College 7-2 to open its women's tennis season on Saturday. The Owls advance to 2-0 on the season. 

Freshman Kylie Kilgore won her first career match, defeating the Owls' Michelle Han 7-6 (4), 6-1 in No. 3 singles. 

Gabby Nunez outlasted Macey Ellis in the final set at No. 5 singles. Nunez won by scores of 6-4, 2-6, 10-5. 

Gabriella Nowak took the No. 1 singles to extra points in the second set. Nowak lost to Wynn Bryant 6-3, 7-6 (4). 

Marywood will host DeSales University on Saturday, Sept. 23.
